| Overview |
|
DeckMates are specially designed for the U.S. Navy to improve safety and protect expensive PRC flooring. All DeckMates come with two pieces. The top piece securely attaches to the chair base while easily removable bottom pads can be replaced every few years once they become worn. Initial installation takes seconds for the 5-Point version, about a minute for the 4-Point versions, and replacement pads can be installed in seconds.

| Safety |
|
DeckMates improve safety in three ways. First they prevent chairs from rolling around on rocking ship decks. Second, they eliminate the dangerous task of cutting open tennis balls which can pose a hazard and result in accidental cuts or stabbings. Third, DeckMates cover the exposed ends of metal four legged chairs and ensure that they remain level.

The unique interlocking design of the two assemblies allows easy replacement of the bottom felt pad, while maintaining the highest standards of strength and durability. DeckMates are engineered for heavy duty use on Navy ships and are actually stronger and more stable than a standard caster. The downward pressure of sitting causes to interlocking pieces remain tight, yet they can unscrew easily for pad replacement. |
